The American flag 

I think Francis Hopskinson made the first American flag. The reason I think he made the flag is because his grandson said he had the receipts to prove it.Plus in my opinion I think his name sounds like he made the flag.

One of the heroes that day was George S. Welch he survived in Pearl Harbor and went to World War ll and died

     I learned two very important things during red ribbon week. I learned that this week is not just about wearing silly things we wear those things for a very important reason. The reason for red ribbon week is for  you to decide not to do drugs. I learned that week that you should not do drugs and that the choice is yours and that you should make the right choice.

Today was a great day at work! I got all of my assigned jobs done. I had to shape the glass and I had to make all different kinds of glass. I only remember one kind of glass I did and it was the soda lime glass. Oh I remember one more kind of glass that I did it is called the flint glass. When I had to blow the glass through the pipe I almost passed out! Sometimes I think why don’t I just get a new job? Its just I have been doing the same job for almost 15 years now. To me it gets boring after a while. Well I guess sometimes I have fun because some of the people I work with do such silly things. My favorite part of my day today was coming home to my kids and hugging them till all of us could not breath! My kids are the best things that have ever happened to me! Oh I almost forgot my job is one of the best things that have ever happened to me!

Going to White Oak school district is really fun! All of the teachers are really nice they make learning fun so we enjoy learning. Homecoming is a special tradition at White Oak because it only comes around once every three years! It is really amazing that people that have graduated from White Oak that live very far away make time to come back for homecoming to see the people from when they graduated. Students that go to White Oak now don’t know what it is like to come back and see their friends because we see our friends every day at school the other people that have graduated don’t get to see their friends every day because they either live to far away or maybe they are not with us today. This is the best school I have ever been to so when I graduate from White Oak I  plan on making time every three years just to come back and see all my friends from class of 2023.

My 5th grade year so far has been awesome so far! My favorite subject is History but it can be hard sometimes.The work that we do in fifth grade is much harder to me than last years work. In fifth grade if you talk when they tell you not to talk you will either get laps or a mark.But so far my fifth grade has been great so far!

I learned that Hernando  De Soto discovered the Mississippi River! He died not long after he discovered the Mississippi River. His crew sank his body in the Mississippi River because he was the one who had discovered it. photo:www.biography.com
